About Us

Associate Professor Dr Parveen Kaur is an academician at a University in Malaysia. She has always been fascinated by natural and functional food as an aid in health well-being. Her passion drove her to study on Midin a favourite local fern enjoyed when cooked as a delicacy in restaurants and homes in Sarawak, Borneo. Her innovative idea of using Midin as a by-product won her the state level Shell Live-Wire Award in 2023. There on, her drive to make her dream a reality brought her to numerous food technologists and food chemists in the process of producing it to botanical tea synergized by natural functional raw ingredients and flowers. Today, her teas are enjoyed by health enthusiasts and that makes her contended.

Midin Botanical Tea is produced with a group of prominent scientists including food technologists, chemists and researchers. It is manufactured by experts having 30 years of experiences in producing botanical teas. Midin Botanical Tea prioritises health and well-being as our vision and mission. Dr Parveenss Global Sdn. Bhd. is aimed in producing this natural, zero-sugar, non-preservative premium quality Teas into the local and international markets as a food and functional food. Thus, Midin Botanical Tea is supported with scientific evidences.

Our Social enterprise approach is an effective solution to help give marginalised poor farmers in Sarawak, Borneo especially women a fair income for their raw resources while also facilitating sustainable economic development. We work with rural farmers into processing their raw resources into value-added products. We provide training and resources to farmers to help them identify raw Midin plant for processing.

The SDGs emphasize the interconnected environmental, social and economic aspects of sustainable development by putting sustainability at their center. Thus, our social enterprise can support sustainable economic development that benefits marginalised communities in Borneo.
